Imu’s own Leslie Zehr along with author and teacher Dan Furst will lead 2 very exciting trips to the sacred sites of Egypt and Peru in 2013.
Trip 1 – Egypt/March 2013
Sacred Sounds in Ancient Egypt: In March of 2013, Dan Furst and Leslie Zehr will guide a 15-day journey to the sacred sites of the Nile Valley and Sinai, with a special emphasis on meditation and soul activation through sound in the great resonant chambers of Khemt, the “Black Land” that is the source of alchemy: that is, the Khemitian art or spiritual practice. Our purpose in doing Sacred Sounds Egypt 2013 is to bring together like-minded singers, healers and adventurers in a spirit of shared intention to explore and recreate the ancient frequencies of sound and movement, and celebrate the wisdom that made Egypt the most profound of all ancient civilizations, at a time when the lost knowledge of the great spiritual root cultures is returning to our consciousness.

Trip 2 – Peru/April 2012
Return to Pachamama: Pachamama is a Quechua word meaning Om el Donya or ‘mother of the world’. Peru, like Egypt, is another ancient culture brimming with history and esoteric wisdom. Even though they are separated by great distance, there are many similarities between these ancient cultures.
In Egypt we have a chance to explore temples and pyramids still very much in tact, holding the energy and wisdom in the stones. Much like the Hierophant Egypt is about the Sacred Text. Peru’s moments might be slightly less intact but it gives us the opportunity to experience sacred space in nature, Pachamama herself, something we don’t have the opportunity to do in Egypt.
