Charles and Tigger, the Psychic Cat
You see, I had one of those psychic cats. His name was Tigger and he was something special (aren’t they all?!) He was, as you can guess, a lovely mixture of yellow and white and he was all boy.
At that point in my life, I lived in the DC area in a shared house. One of my roommates was this young man named Charles. He had recently moved to DC from Alaska and didn’t know anyone. Well, Tigger took to him immediately and would just follow him around the house like they were best friends. Sadly, Charles didn’t want anything to do with him.
While Charles looked great on the surface, it turned out that things weren’t quite right underneath. He was good looking and very smart and seemed to have everything going for him, except he couldn’t seem to feel anything. In fact, he told me once that his goal was to shut off his emotions entirely. Tigger, of course, was trying to heal him.
Before long, Charles took to Tigger. I would find them playing on the couch or see Tigger curled up asleep in his bed. He was the only thing in the world that Charles seemed to let himself care about.
So it was only slightly odd when one night while I was lying in bed, Tigger, who always slept in the room with me, woke me up scratching at the door insisting that he be left out into the main part of the house. Annoyed, I got up and left him out then jumped back into bed. But that wasn’t sufficient. A second later he was scratching at the door to be left back in. Humph. So I got up and as you can imagine the dance continued until I finally got up and followed him. He took me to the door of Charles’ bedroom where he began to scratch, begging to be left into his room. Well, it was very early in the morning, and I wasn’t going to wake Charles based on the whims of my fantastical cat. So we went back to my room and that was that.
Later that day, my friend and her 7 year old son came to visit. Charles was off at class. Before long, her son walked into the room holding a loaded handgun. Apparently he found the gun on the floor next to Charles’ bed. You can imagine my shock as I didn’t even know that he had a gun in the house.
When I approached him about it later in the day, he told me that it was for work (he as an intern for the FBI) and that he would be certain to put it away in the future and make sure it was safe.
As far as I was concerned, that was the end of that. Until 3 days later.
It was President’s Day and it was cold and snowy. As I returned home from dropping a friend off at the airport, I saw through the front door to the back door (which was all glass) that Tigger was outside. This was uncommon as he never went outside in cold weather. When I saw that, I knew immediately that something was wrong.
Walking to the back door, I had to pass the door to Charles’ room. There on the door was the requisite note announcing his decision to leave his body, which of course, he did.
In retrospect, I realized that Tigger knew of his plans and was trying to save him. Tigger knew that he was thinking about using that gun on that fateful morning 3 days before. He tried to save him. And when the time came for him to put his plan into action, Tigger was trying once again to interrupt. The only way Charles could pull off his plan was to put Tigger outside.
It was a truly awakening experience for me. How could he know what Charles was doing in that room?
After that time, I had to look at animals differently. I knew Tigger wasn’t the only one.
David Hawkins and the Scale of Consciousness
I remember reading this amazing book by a psychiatrist by the name of Dr. David Hawkins. Hawkins had done a study where he sought to use muscle testing and kinesiology to create a verifiable scale of consciousness. The scale went from 0-1000 and ranged from death to ascension. According to his research, the average human had evolved to around 200, which was just beyond the point of integrity. The more advanced people on the planet were at around 400. Only a handful of humans had evolved to a level of 600,which is the level of unconditional love. Interestingly, when he tested a cat’s purr, it tested at a 600.
Hmm. So a cat’s purr is at the level of unconditional love.
I personally have always thought of a cat’s purr as the equivalent of human laughing. Now I know why! Oh, if only I could purr!
It also explains why animals are so healing. It seems to me that their level of consciousness is actually higher than ours! This is so different from what everyone has ever taught that it was a shocking new thought to me. Animals are HIGHER frequency?! It explained everything!
My Understanding Emerges
Like most of my knowings, the information started to come to me in downloads of information. It was like a doorway opened and everything I ever wanted to know about animals surfaced. It was one epiphany after another until I felt satiated. Complete in my knowing. This turned into a teaching that I have presented many times since.
On one such occasion I was able to record the class which was then edited by the lovely Amy Hoffman. The class is currently available as a free bonus to anyone who takes the Ordination training through IMU (which is an amazing course if you ask me.
) so after some thought I’ve decided to make it free to everyone who wants to know about. I personally think this is life-changing information for some. For others it may be merely thought-provoking or perhaps even cockamamie. Whatever you think of it, I’d love to know.
Get Ordained
When most people think of Ordination Courses, they don’t think about a teaching on animals. But the Ordination training at IMU, like most things we do, takes a slight turn from what other people do. Instead, our training is about all aspects of spiritual development. You learn about consciousness and about your soul’s journey. Yeah, we talk a little bit about spiritual counseling and about how to do ceremonies etc, but mostly its about raising your vibration and learning the basics of metaphysics. And at the end of it, we feel confident that you know enough for us to declare you an ordained minister. Ultimately, however, ordination is a personal process that takes place between you and the divine. But for those who want that piece of paper and the training that goes with it, we do offer an ordination course.
The course, like all courses at IMU, takes about 12 weeks to complete. It is composed of a variety of audio and video files and requires some writing but not a lot. People have said that it is invigorating and enlightening. And everyone leaves different than when they come in.

I am interested in becoming ordained. Please send me more information. Thank you.
Wow, was I led here or what! I absolutely would love to participate in this workshop. And ordained on top of it is the cherry.
