I received this email today from Daniel Cordonna at Cosmic Mystery Schools. I have tremendous respect for he and his wife Patricia and the work they do with the Maya. I had the pleasure of meeting them briefly at Serpent Mound on October 28, 2011 when they hosted Hunbatz Men and 13 crystal skulls. We have spoken with them in the past about teaching for IMU and hope that this comes to fruition at some point in the near future. In the meantime, I thought the information they presented in the email warranted a little attention and hope you enjoy the teaching.

The last time Patricia and I were with Mayan Elder Hunbatz Men during the Spring Equinox 2012, he shared something with us that has profoundly changed the way I understand how the Universe and Time interact. Elder Hunbatz was interpreting some Mayan Symbols at Kabah, a Mayan ceremonial center, as we stood under the intense energy of Father Sun.

Modern medical science is only beginning to understand what the Maya knew thousands of years ago: our brains are Solar powered! 

Many incorrectly believe our brain and body get its energy from the food we eat. However, you will feel tired and unmotivated on a dark rainy day no matter the quantity or quality of food you eat. You feel tired because your brain is receiving inadequate solar energy.

The Maya also understood the awesome healing and spiritual effects of the vibrational frequencies of the Sun’s energy on our body, mind and Spirit.

At an even deeper level, the Maya understood how the actual movement of the planets, suns, and constellations affect our development and evolution within a lifetime.  This is part of the reason the Maya used more than 17 calendars that tracked various planets and stars, and most importantly the Pleiades star system.

What Hunbatz shared with us during the Spring Equinox had to do with what happens when we humans move away from our present day Gregorian calendar hanging on the wall and start to understand how the celestial bodies move through the Milky Way and the Universe as described the Mayan calendars.

This is more than just an intellectual exercise. We experience a change and shift in the vibrational frequency of our vital energy that allows us to understand the Mysteries of the Universe and our Body on an incredibly deeper level. This shift in our energy field increases the connection with Universal Mind, about which so many authors all over the world for literally thousands of years have written.

The Mayan Calendars were not for planting or raising farm animals. The Mayan Calendars were used to accelerate the Human Mind and Spirit for understanding and use of the Mysteries of the Universe.

It is through these Mysteries that we activate the hidden inner powers such as intuition, clairvoyance, healing and manifestation.
