Just a quick reminder that the Universal Light Expo takes place this weekend at the Veterans Memorial Center in Columbus, Ohio. In my experience, this is the granddaddy of all metaphysical expos and is the largest all-volunteer expo of its kind in the world. Thousands of like-minded people will traverse the Veterans Center on Friday and Saturday to attend one of 130 workshops and visit 330 booths. The contacts you make at these things are innumerable and the friends you make are irreplaceable.

I’ve been vending at ULE since 2003 when I first manned a booth for IMU professor Dick (Richard) Sutphen. He was the keynote speaker at an expo we had held in the Parkersburg area just the week before and was now the keynote speaker for ULE as well. It was a great opportunity to get to know him and then wife Tara and we all had a ball. In fact, our booth was right across the aisle from Hampton Roads, which is how Richard came to get his book deal for his book Soul Contracts.

Dick went on to become the first internationally recognized instructor to teach at IMU, and he set the standard for the instructors we would attract ever since. He still teaches Hypnosis Level 1 and 2 Certification training for us and we are very pleased to have him on our team.

Dick brought with him internationally renowned teacher Patti Conklin as well. I was intrigued by Patti from the first time I heard from her which was over dinner with Richard, again back in 2003. We were out a dinner when he was telling us the story of the time Patti manifested a raisin for him out of thin air! I had heard stories of others doing this…Sai Baba and Machalle Small Wright, but did not know about Patti’s abilities. So when we contacted Richard about teaching for us and he suggested we contact Patti as well, well that was a no brainer! lol! So we jumped in our car to join Patti and Richard for dinner at the Coptic Conference in Johnson City, Tennessee where Patti, who had just finished offering a group healing session for about 500 people, proceeded to add lemon to our water without the use of, well, LEMON! lol! So now Patti teaches her world-famous Cellular Cleanse training in the Holistic Healing program and I am really pleased to count her among our team and among my friends as well.

So in my life, lots of good things have come out of metaphysical conferences and ULE is my favorite. I’ve been vending at IMU ever since and have been leading a workshop there for many years. I’ve had the chance to meet current students, connect with new students and instructors, and talk about my favorite subject, IMU.

This year, however, I will not be managing a booth OR teaching a workshop even though it says so in the program guide. Though I had registered for a booth last year, my plans had changed and I expected to be on the West Coast right now. So invited a friend of mine, Scott Miller, to take on both the booth and the workshop. Since then my plans have freed up and I am on the east coast right now so I can BE at the show but not at the booth all weekend. I’m looking forward to being able to play for the first time in many years!
