CON 601 The Purposeful Universe

Instructor:

Carl Johan Calleman, Ph.D.

Course Description:

In this course the students will learn about the Tree of Life Theory. With elements of Mayan cosmology such as the Tree of Life and its calendar, as its backbone this course present a new model for how the different levels of the universe are organized and evolve in synchrony. The course takes its beginning in the recent discovery (2004) of a central axis of the universe that is identified as the Tree of Life of ancient mythology, the creative source of the universe. Evolution, and especially biological evolution, is then understood as resulting from shifting quantum states in this Tree of Life, which are the driving events behind the purposeful universe giving it its direction. The evolution of consciousness is then regarded as a relationship to the Tree of Life and the many far-reaching consequences for instance for medicine and sacred geometry that this theory has will be discussed. With this theory the mythology of the ancients is unified in a meaningful way with the findings of modern science.
