Course Description:
Astrology is the oldest science in the world. This course covers the fundamentals of astrology, and its history. Explanation as to why astrology has survived as well as an in-depth look at the sun signs, moon signs, rising signs and their elements. Class will examine not only the twelve signs but also the planets and their influences in the natal chart. Students will be expected to recognize and draw the different astrological and planetary glyphs, have a clear understanding of sun signs and moon signs, understand planetary influences and the astrological houses.
Required Text and Learning Materials:
Posted reading assignments, online natal chart. No text book required.

Course Objectives:
- Understanding the basic sun sign information.
- Understanding the planets and their signs.
- Learning how to cast and interpret a natal chart.
- Learning the elements, their qualities and their planetary aspects.
Course Topics:
Basic Astrology with emphasis on not only the sun signs but their entire natal chart.

Students will listen to audio tapes, complete practice assignments and read required material and take course assessments.
