IA 501 Foundations of Psychic Development
Instructor:
Course Description:
Psychic ability is your birthright. Each one of us is endowed with psychic gifts and each person has at least one of them. In Foundations of Psychic Development you will discover what your strongest psychic gift is and you will be developing that one as well as others using hypnotic suggestion, guided visualization, practice with card decks, tea leaf reading, psychometry and other tools.
In this course we will take a look at the rather lengthy list of the many different aspects and modalities of what is called psychic ability. We will look at the many different tools that can be used to help a person develop and utilize their various psychic gifts and we will discuss under what conditions one might put these gifts to use. We will also talk about psychism in various cultures and organizations with a more in depth look at it in regards to spiritualism and metaphysics.
Through audio lectures, research, daily hypnotic suggestion, journaling, card reading, interviews with psychics and practice sessions you will hone your ability to pick up on, and translate, vibratory patterns and psychic and intuitive impressions.
Upon completion of “Foundations of Psychic Development” you will have a thorough knowledge of all psychic modalities and you will enjoy a heightened and more developed psychic and intuitive ability which you can put to good use helping yourself and others.

Hi,
Is it possible to take this course using written textbooks, only
through the mail? I own a ten inch netbook, which is limited in
its abilities.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Carol
Hi Carol,
I received your question today regarding whether or not the class could be done via mail. In that regard, I have bad news and I have good news.
The bad news is that, no, the class is an online class and you would have to work online.
The good news is that you should very probably be able to do the class with some ease over your notebook.
You see most of the class is audio based and experiential so you don’t have to be staring at a small screen or trying to type long papers on a small screen. So here’s how it works. You will get into the class the read the assignment ,which is usually only a few lines long. Certainly not more than a few paragraphs. Within that assignment will be a link to that week’s audio lesson. You’ll click on that link and listen to the class.
From there you’ll have an assignment where you’ll have to apply what you learned. So maybe you’ll have to journal your dreams, or something like that (I’m not sure if that’s an actual assignment or not). Then you’ll have to go back into the class and report on your progress. It might be in the actual assignment or it might be in what is called a forum where the instructor and other students can read about your experience and even comment. Then you’ll be graded.
So as you can see, most of it doesn’t even need the computer.
Does this help? Have you signed up for the test drive?
Hi Carol, thank you for your interest in the Psychic Development Course at IMU. There are no textbooks for this course. Each class, there are 12 classes, had an audio class that is about 45 minutes to 55 minutes long. Can you download an audio file that long? One idea would be to buy a flash drive that has maybe 8 GB or larger to download to. At least I think that can be done. Janet Decker
Can this course be studied using mail-in (post office)
studies? I have a ten inch netbook which is limited in its abilities.
